From Koichi NakanoDate: Thu, 4 Feb 1999

A roaring dune are known, in Olifantshoek(27.57S 22.42E), Cape State, South Africa. There is a White sand dune, which free from blown sand. http://home.global.co.za/~kounaka/index.html

The dune roaring by wind in drying summer. The area was appointed as Witsand Nature Reserve. In the area we have no restaurant, but we can do our own cooking. We must run 60-80 km from the town. The dune is 1200 m above sea level. The dune is 20-30m high, width 5 km. length 9 km. March or april was booming time. From the front several years,to my regret for lost the sound producing property, because of entrance of sight seeing, four-wheel drive cars.
