@Origin of such Lacquered item in Japan.
Jomon period before 9000 years , Japanese ancestor came to paint wooden tableware. The remains which soaked themselves in muddy water for 9000 years excavated only a lacquered part without being corrupt a little. The corrosion resistance property is amazing. All modern peoples must take his hats.
The corrosion resistance is eminent, and no current chemical paint reach it. Glass is invaded by hydrogen fluoride, but a lacquer is used in design glass production because it is not invaded by hydrogen fluoride. In addition, it is used for corrosion resistance container of a chemical factory.
I was going to study this mysterious Japanese traditional paint,
and visited a lacquerware factory at Kiso - Hirasawa( Nagano-pref.). It was
a downpour of rainy season unfortunately. But the man say "the lacquer
dries well on such a day and we are busy" If the humidity is high, as the
hang out the washing is evaporation of water, it does not dry, but our lacquer
dries in 20-30 minutes to get out the rainy season. In winter the time is one
night. As catalyst lacquerze, chief ingredient urushiol are oxidized, and included
in a liquid lacquer stiffens. Oxidation action with much moisture is promoted,
and dehydration is fast. Lacquer work is one of the best in number of a certain
japanese art product, And Kyoto is the home.
